About

My research and teaching focuses on the intersections between the sociology of work (including labour studies, industrial relations and political economy perspectives) and environmental sociology, giving particular attention to the experiences of disadvantaged workers (eg. low paid/working poor and female dominated occupations) and non-human animals. While my research frequently employs multiple research approaches, I specialise in qualitative methodologies employed within a critical sociological framework. I am also a research leader at the CSU Institute for Land, Water and Society. I am available to supervise PhD candidates in these and related related fields of research.
